WACOG Regional Transit Implementation Plan

HELP PLAN THE FUTURE OF TRANSIT IN WESTERN ARIZONA!

Western Arizona Council of Governments (WACOG) initiated the Regional Transit Implementation Plan (RTIP) to assess the need and feasibility of a region-wide transit service that connects unincorporated rural areas of Mohave and La Paz Counties to the urbanized cities of Bullhead City, Lake Havasu City, and Kingman. Recognizing that people travel throughout the WACOG region for their daily activities, this plan will aim to better connect people to the places they need to go.

The study aims to meet the following objectives:

  • Evaluate existing regional transit service needs and identify opportunities to connect people and places.
  • Define preferred and phased alternatives for regional, intercity transit service.
  • Identify solutions and potential partnerships to support long-lasting, sustainable public transportation.
  • Develop a plan for short- and long-term phased implementation for regional transit service.
  • Stay tuned for future opportunities to engage.
